Delete Your Account
You can delete your ColonyTrack account at any time. Before you do, here's what happens.
Delete only some of your data
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the app you can delete
individual hives (which also removes that hive's inspections, notes, and
photos), individual inspections, and individual photos at
any time: open the item and use the Delete option. Your account and
everything else stay intact.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email, profile, and login credentials
- All hive data: inspections, notes, timelines, and hive records
- All photos: inspection photos and any uploaded images
- QR sticker associations: any QR codes linked to your hives
- Subscription: any active paid subscription will be cancelled
This cannot be undone.
Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed. We cannot recover it.
If you want to keep your data, export it as CSV from your account settings before deleting.
Before you delete
- Export your data (recommended): go to Settings → Your Data → Exports in the app to download a CSV of all your hive records and inspections.
- Cancel your subscription first (required on Pro): the app will not let you delete your account while a paid subscription is active, so you must cancel it first. On the web, use Settings → Subscription. On iPhone, cancel through your Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, through Google Play → Subscriptions.
How to delete your account
Option 1: In the app
- Open ColonyTrack and tap Profile in the bottom navigation (this opens Settings)
- Tap Security
- Scroll to the Danger zone and tap Delete my account
- Confirm when prompted
- Your account and all data are permanently and immediately deleted
Option 2: By email
If you can't access the app, send an email to
[email protected]
from the email address associated with your account with the subject line
"Delete my account." We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days.
After deletion
- Your account and all data are deleted immediately and permanently when you confirm. We cannot recover them.
- Anonymized, aggregate data that was already included in research datasets will not be affected (per our privacy policy).
- You can create a new account at any time, but your previous data will not be available.
