In the City of Agoura, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of Alhambra, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

No person shall keep any bees in or upon any premises.

In the City of Artesia, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of Avalon, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of Azusa, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

Apiaries Prohibited. No person shall maintain an apiary nor keep or permit the keeping of bees within the city.

No person shall keep or maintain, or suffer or permit to be kept or maintained, upon premises owned or controlled by him or it in the city, a hive of bees. This section shall not apply to the keeping of bees within an educational institution for study or observation or within a physician’s office or laboratory for medical research, treatment or other scientific purposes, provided they are not permitted to fly at large

Apis Mellifera species only shall only be allowed on a lot developed with one single-family dwelling. See municipal code for futher requirements.

It shall be unlawful for any person to have, keep, or maintain any hive or swarm of bees within the city. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the keeping of bees within an educational institution for study or observation or within a physician's office or laboratory for medical research, treatment, or other scientific purposes provided the bees are not permitted to fly at large.

Parcel must be at least two acres. Commercial Beekeeping is prohibited. Each hive must be inspected once a week. All hives shall be registered with the State.

In the City of Carson, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of Cerritos, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

The placement, keeping, or maintenance of an apiary or hive of bees on any lot or parcel within the City is permitted only in the Open Space (O) District and with the prior approval of a special use and development permit granted in accordance with Chapter 16.306 of the Claremont Municipal Code. This section shall not apply to the keeping of bees within an educational institution for study or observation, or within a physician's office or laboratory for medical research, treatment, or other scientific purposes, provided they are not permitted to fly at large.

In the City of Hawaiian Gardens, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

This section shall not apply to the keeping of bees within an educational institute for study or observation, or within a physician’s office or laboratory for medical research, treatment, or other scientific purposes, provided they are not permitted to fly at large.

As defined in section 6.04.010, bees and insects are defined as nonhousehold animals. It is unlawful for any person owning, possessing or having the custody or control of any animal other than household pets to keep, harbor, possess or maintain any such animal within the city without first obtaining a written permit. No person shall maintain an apiary on any premise within the City of Hidden Hills

In the City of Huntington Park, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

It is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, for any property owner or responsible person to maintain any of the following conditions on private property within the city that is either visible from a public or private street or right-of-way or is otherwise injurious to the health, safety, or welfare of neighboring properties or persons; (12) bees kept

Unless an animal is designated as an exception to this provision, it shall be unlawful for any person to keep any animal on real property within the City without a duly issued and currently valid permit issued in the form and manner designated in this Chapter (Exception to permit: Animals used by schools including public and private)

In the City of Huntington Park, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of La Canada Flintridge, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

All apiaries and the ancillary improvements must be installed and maintained pursuant to the Los Angeles County Code Title 10, Division 3, Chapter 10.76. The owner of any hive located in the City or of any new hive to be established in the City shall register the hive or hives with the Los Angeles County Apiary Inspector and thereafter shall annually re-register pursuant to applicable regulations. Hives shall be placed as close to the center of the parcel on which they are located as practical. Africanized bees are not permitted and must be destroyed if found.

In the City of La Mirada, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of La Puente, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of La Verne, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

It is unlawful for any person to have in his possession any honey producing insects in any life stage

In the City of Lancaster, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

Persons possessing an apiary within the city shall obtain a wild animal permit. See ordinance for futher regulations.

Any person intending to establish or maintain any beehive on any residential property within the City must first register with the County of Los Angeles and provide a copy of such registration to the Director of the Animal Care Services Bureau. See ordinance for futher regualations.

It is unlawful for any person, party, firm or corporation to keep, possess, harbor or maintain within the city limits any of the following animals: A hive of bees

In the City of Manhattan Beach, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of Montebello, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

It is unlawful and it is declared to be a public nuisance for any person owning, leasing, occupying, or having charge or possession of any residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, business park, office, educational, religious, vacant, or other premises within the city, to maintain such premises in such a manner that any of the following conditions are found to exist thereon: (v) Bees Kept

It is unlawful, and it is declared to be a public nuisance, for any of the following conditions to be allowed to exist on any property within the city, public or private: (S ) Bees Kept

No person shall establish or maintain any hive or box where bees are kept, or keep any bees on any premises, dwelling, or property within City limits.

In the City of Pasadena, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

No person shall keep or maintain, or allow to be kept or maintained, upon premises owned or controlled by him, her or it, in the city, a hive of bees. This provision shall not apply to the keeping of bees within an educational institution for study or observation, or within a physician’s office or laboratory for medical research, treatment or other scientific purposes, provided they are not permitted to fly at large

Except as otherwise permitted in the city's zoning ordinance, including, but not limited to, section .436(1)(m), it shall be unlawful for any person to keep, maintain or permit to be maintained any of the following on any premises within the city: bees

The keeping of a maximum of five bee hives for noncommercial purposes, except for the RS-A-5 residential zoning district, where a maximum of ten bee hives may be kept upon approval by the director of a site plan review application, which shall be appealable to the planning commission pursuant to Chapter 17.80

In the City of San Dimas, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

No bees permitted to be kept upon any premises under subsection (a) of this section shall be permitted to fly at large. Check municipal code for futher regluation.

Hives may be kept in one of three situations: in a doctor's office, within a school for study or observation, or on property zoned R-1 with conditions. See municipal code for further regulations.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain, or suffer or permit to be kept or maintained, upon premises owned or controlled by him/her in the City, any hive of bees for commercial purposes

(C) Keeping of bees; provided, that no hive or box where bees are kept shall be closer than 100 feet from the boundary of any residential zone, park, school or institution for human care.

It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep to maintain or suffer or permit to be kept or maintained, upon premises owned or controlled by him/her or it in the city, any hive of bees within two hundred feet of any dwelling house other than that occupied by the owner or person in control of such bees. No person shall use any lighted or smoldering material in connection with smoking bees in or upon any protected fire area except by the authority of a written permit from the chief.

In the City of Signal Hill, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

No person shall have, possess, maintain or harbor any of the following animals on any property in the city: bees or beehives

Bees must be kept further than 200 feet from any swimming pool.

In the City of Vernon, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

D. Agricultural Use Classifications. 1. Animal Husbandry. Raising of animals or production of animal products, such as eggs or dairy products, on an agricultural or commercial basis. Typical uses include grazing, ranching, dairy farming, poultry farming, and beekeeping but exclude slaughter houses.

In the City of West Covina, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.

In the City of West Hollywood, there are no municipal codes set in place for the ownership of apiaries.
